Kisspeptin Peptide

Kisspeptin-10 is a neuropeptide that is primarily known for its role in the regulation of reproductive processes.  It act by stimulating the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), which, in turn, triggers the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).  Kisspeptin is produced in several areas of the brain, including the hypothalamus.  The effects of Kisspeptin are mediated through Kisspeptin receptors (Kiss1R).
